Star Security Training isn’t just near Brooklyn — we’re part of it. Our school has operated at 1891 Fulton Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant since 2009, training over 100,000 New Yorkers with classes taught by retired NYC police officers. If you live in Bed-Stuy, Crown Heights, Brownsville, East New York, Bushwick, Flatbush, or anywhere else in the borough, your security career starts a bus or train ride away.
We run classes six days a week, 8AM–4PM, and walk-ins are welcome — no appointment needed. Come in, register, and get started.
Subway: Take the A or C train to Utica Avenue — the station is steps from our front door at Fulton & Utica. The Kingston–Throop C station is one stop away.
Bus: The B25 runs along Fulton Street and the B46 along Utica Avenue — both stop at our corner. The B15 and B43 connect from Brownsville and Williamsburg.
Brooklyn security work is everywhere: residential buildings and shelters across the borough, retail at Kings Plaza and Atlantic Terminal, hospitals like Brookdale, Kings County, and Interfaith, event work at Barclays Center, and construction-site fire watch on projects from Downtown Brooklyn to East New York. Employers routinely require the NYS security guard license — and for shelter and fire-watch posts, FDNY Certificates of Fitness like the F-01 and F-02 we prepare you for.

Complete the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment class first — offered six days a week — then apply to NYS with your certificate. Most students finish the class in one day.
