To ensure compliance with New York State requirements and provide a positive learning experience for all students, please review the following policies before registering.

Registration

Attendance Policy

New York State requires students to complete the entire required training in order to receive a course certificate.

New York State Security Guard Licensing Policy

Star Security Training is approved to provide the required training for New York State Security Guards. However, completion of a training course does not guarantee that a Security Guard Registration Card will be issued.

The New York State Department of State is solely responsible for issuing Security Guard Registration Cards.

To become licensed, applicants must meet all New York State requirements, which include but are not limited to:

Star Security Training cannot approve, deny, or expedite a Security Guard Registration application.

Online Courses

Refund Policy

Code of Conduct

Students are expected to conduct themselves professionally and respectfully.

Star Security Training reserves the right to remove any student whose behavior disrupts the class, threatens the safety of others, or violates school policies. Students removed from class for misconduct may not be eligible for a refund.
