​​When You’re Ready to Take the Exam: Location, License Fees, Renewals

All exams are given at the FDNY’s Public Certification Unit located on the first floor at 9 MetroTech Center in Brooklyn . A $25 new application fee is required for each certification. Renewals need to be made every 3 years ($5 fee). Generally, applications are reviewed and processed within 1-2 days.

Please note that your access expires 30 days from the date you enrolled. After 30 days, you will no longer have access to the course, so you will need to complete the course within 30 days from enrollment.
