Completion and Next Steps
Upon successful completion of the 8-Hour Pre-Assignment Training, you will receive a certificate of completion. This certificate is required to apply for your New York State Security Guard Registration through the Department of State. Your next step is to complete the 16-Hour On-the-Job Training (OJT) within 90 days of being hired by a security employer. We recommend enrolling in the OJT course at Star Security Training to keep your momentum going.
